need my std FORD alarm removed
The cossie has a cat1 alarm fitted but unfortunatly it also has the original FORD alarm and immobilsor still wired up. Over the last few days the car has been cutting out and not starting, and a light on the top of the dash has come on, which is the Alarm.
It turns out that water has got to the alarm box, and its going bonkers. I wonder if someone can remove the std alarm from the car, but not upset the cat1 system. I have found the brain for the ford alarm but it seems a wire for the cat1 has been spliced into it.
Please someone help its doing my nut in!!!!!

A quick fix is to remove the fuse for the hazard warning flashers as this is used by the alarm as well. You will be without you warning flashers but will cure the alarm problem.
