how can i tell if my rear diff is low on oil and how do i fill up sounding a bit louder on over run

undo the bolt on the back, and put oil in till it comes out afaik

Took plug off and a little bit came out just wonderd if ther was enough in

i would completely drain out the old oil as it will probably be knackered by now if it's still the original stuff and refill with new.

unfortunately, there is only a fill hole, and not a drain hole so you have a couple of choices.

1) remove diff and pour out of fill hole

2) remove rear plate from diff and drain out

3) suck it out through the fill hole.

i do 3 as i have access to a vacuum pump, a large glass jar, a bung with 2 holes and a length of tubing
