Default Cosworth owners, I'd like some help ABS wise please.

Anybody come accross this problem and solved it???

The ABS and Brake warning light have come on and the pedal has gone ROCK solid so there is no brake assist. Also I can't hear the pump priming when I put the ignition on like usual. Anyone come accross this???

All help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

think its a common problem, mine had the same problem but the prrevious owner replaced the whole system, a stab in the dark and i would say its maybe a relay gone, probably best to search the problem using the search tool at the top of the page, good luck

Cheers for the tip,

I've since found that the 30Amp fuse under the Glovebox had popped, After replacing it and trying again the Motor primes but only very slowly and sounded almost like it was really struggling, then the fuse popped again!

Does it sound like the pump is failing on me???

Cheers

change the fluid first
it's telling you that it cannot pressureise the system properlyw hic is why the yellow AND red lights come on together

if the fuse it blowing then it seems that you might be overheating the pump, not good because it might be more knackerd that it already is
