What could cause this ?? :( :(
Hi, i only just got my cossie turbo'd mk2 escort running a couple weeks ago and minutes after start up it all ended in a loud clonk..
ive just got around to removing the head to find one intake valve snapped in two places (part of the stem was found in the intake manifold !) and as a result the combustion chamber is hacked up in the middle and the piston is smashed up aswell..
Now what could cause this ?? it cant be a timing thing as the other intake valve is fine.
The other intake valve is fine as are the two exhaust valves. I bought the engine only recently and was rebuilt not long before i bought it. The previous owner purchased the head from PJ motorsport.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Damion
