oil warning light advice please
1992 sapphire cosworth 4x4 four when i start my car up it has started to idle at between 1000 and 3000 revs very quickly , up and down until i start to drive away then it seems fine, but when i stop at junctions ,lights, roundabouts etc it starts to judder as if about to stall ,even with the clutch in ,and the oil warning light is coming on. it does have oil in it .This happens even on long drives when the engine is hot too . Any ideas what could be causing this , its just had a new turbo fitted 2 weeks ago if that helps, thanks for your advice

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
my advise
1 DONT drive the car till its sorted
2 check oil pressure
if ya lights commin on at idle im guessin its your oil pumps life coming to an end

i cant stress not driving or even startin it
running an engine with low oil pressure will result in terminal damage it could just be a faulty switch but its rly not worth the risk
im sure sum one will bac me up

firstly do your tappets rattle? it is poss that it is close to stall when your light flickers, tickover problem is either auxilury air device or bad fuel pressure ......get your oil pressure checked before you wipe another turbo out and your crank and your cam bearings
