5 Speed Sequential Gearbox
Going a completely different direction with my car and wont be using this or the engine once its back from a rebuild.
Bought brand new from Romain Oppligier and at cost at £6100 then had extra costs of having the box built up and tested by Bara. The box hasnt even covered 100miles then my engine ran lean and melted some pistons so everything has been removed. Short Ratio Gearbox 3.6 drop down top speeds limited to 145mph at 7000rpm struggling to find the individual gear ratios at the moment.
Romain is now selling these 5 speed gearboxes at £6850.
£5500 comes fully complete to fit to your car. The only modification needed is I believe 10mm shortening of your rear prop. Comes with shifter with built in load cell for flat shift and gear indicator and full loom.

Do you know if any guarantee comes with the box that you could reasonably rely on from the supplier (Bara or oppliger?)
Prop is easy to solve by the way, drive shaft services in Heathrow can do them really cheaply.
I assume you need to put a 3.6 front diff to suit the 1:1? Or do you need drop gears?

Yes if you want it 50/50 split.
Warranty wise I dont know who offers any sort of warranty on a gearbox. Its a mechanical part?? I know Romain sorts out any initial problems if any arises just as good faith but its been inspected, run and tested by bara on his bench also. Romain rates the box for 750bhp 650lbs/ft torque. He told me he has a drag car running some obscene numbers 1000bhp etc with no issues also.

I'm Finding My Feet Here Now
5 Speed Sequential Gearbox
I have one in my Sierra Sapphire Rally Car it has bone 2 events Weathersfield and Cadwell both very hard on transmissions it stood up well only a couple of missed changes when we believe it went dog on dog but other than that pretty good for the money.
I would say If Bara has had a part in it it will be OK

Do you still have this for sale?
Also what clutch and flywheel did you use? Was the clutch using hydraulic centre push?

Do you need to do that on these Oppliger boxes as I thought with sequential boxes you only needed the clutch for pull away??
Cheers Paul
