it is a 3 Door, but mine is a 1 off as its a few inches thinner than most, it must be looking at the splitter

joking aside i was disapointed with it but if your having a group buy they might come back better quality, i still think £230 is a gamble, I wouldnt of bought one if id seen one like this before.

Im not trying to put people off buying them but for the money i think its piss poor, i bought it for a 3dr and expected it to fit with a bit of modding, didnt expect to have to cut 3 inches off and didnt expect it to be that out of shape, also the finish is quite poor but in fairness that doesnt show up as bad once on the car.

interesting lol
ok i made the rs500 splitter mold for thre kevelar item pictured above ! now this quite strange as i built the new mold 6 weeks ago and i have made and sent out 24 sets of these splitters as we supply race and road cars and havnt recieved 1 complaint and i find it hard to understand why you can shoot us down without even trying to contact us with your issues i said i molded these off a perfectly straight rs 500 bumper as we always use original ford panels to mold from , the reason WHY the spliter is longer on the over fit side isnt a stupid mistake or a over sight on our part lol it purely been done that way so if for some reason a car has a pattern bumper or the original is out of shape as its quite common they warp there was extra lengh added to make sure they would have enough material to be trimed off if needed .

Now i see that the top join is slightly miss shaped so really you should have contacted xsport sales to sort this out instead of a internet forum as pf wont send a replacment or a refund

sorry for jumping on the thread lads

thanks for clearing that up jay, i think it also shows that xsport do care about their work and if any of the splitters came out not up to a good standard then they will sort it out

Since there's obviously more interest in a RS500 splitter, would it help if I send my fibreglass RS500 Saph splitter to Xsport for them to get a mould from?
Really want the RS500 one, as I dont like the Rouse ones...

After reading this thread I am shocked that people are still interested in the splitters, xsport are charging enough money for these to have a quality control on the product.

Items like the one D16 PJM has been supplied should never be sent out, I would see this as they will send you another one that could be just the same.

Of course I am! Just let me know who's the contact person and I'll send it there as soon as the group buy is fixed here.

Top man Dave

I'm not worried about the quality issues to be honest, as jay has just said any issues would be sorted out.

we always use original ford panels
Look, they've said they only mould from original Ford panels, you think they're gonna take your shonky aftermarket fibreglass splitter and make a mould from it? Given the shit they've taken in this thread already?

so there was a rs500 splitter for a saff from factory ?
no obviously, so a "shitty aftermarket" one will have to be used
