Default Cougar v6 coolant problem after driving

Hi, everytime i drive the car, after a few days the coolant light comes on and i have to put some coolant in it, it doesnt leak alot but its annoying when it comes on when your ready to set off for work. I had it in 2 garages and both said they cant find a leak but there is a small puddle under the car sometimes and im pretty sure its coming from the thermostat area.
Anyway i stored the car for a few months and it didnt leak anything while stood, i got it out again yesturday and drove it and it leaked a bit again. I think a pipe must be expanding when the engine is hot maybe?
Can anyone recommend something i could put in the tank to seal the leak for a few days untill i can get it back in a garage, after paying for a rip off tax disc, re insuring it and petrol im skint.

I have the v6 there is a known problem with the tank sender it will say its low when in fact its fine with mine I just had to clean it , the little leak could be moisture off the AC unit parts maybe , but give it a look over from underneath you may see a weep from a hose union .
