Question Stabilisation Bar

Hi there,

I'm driving a MK4 XR3i Cabriolet (1989). I fitted a strut bar but now I'm looking for the lower one (the one below the engine).

A friend of mine told me these are not available anymore. Is this true? Or does anyone know where I can find this piece to give a little more stability to my Cabriolet?

Any help is really appreciated.

Cheers

I have not ever noticed any and had a quick google just now with no results. You might be better off uprating suspension bushes and checking existing suspension for wear (ie ball joints and track rod ends. Bushes to look for are: Anti roll bar clamps, inner tca and the doughnut bushes on each side of the ARB. If you can find a cheap damper/spring set as well on top of that your car should feel quite tight.

It's just an idea but you might be able to fabricate your own lower brace if you have the tools?

Thanks for your reply. At this point I have to apologies for my limited english (it starts to end when it becomes technical)...

I have pretty good damper/spring set (Koni/HR) and a Wiechers Strut Bar. Soon I will start to overhaul the whole front axle and I was wondering if the "Stabilizer front axle" (sorry google translator) is still available for the MK4 ?
(I have some pictures from a MK5 - but can't upload them here).
