Default Central locking not working.. non stop clicking trying to lock..

Bought a Puma yesterday all was fine until I tried to get out, drivers door will not open.

When I lock the car the noise of the central locking repeats over and over until I close the pass door (drivers door doesnt open)

There are some empty fuse sockets in the box but took it to ford they say not all of them need to be used.

Is this true? I've just seen a resto thread for a puma and the fuse box had one in every place which I don't have (I'll take a pic in a min)

I think either way the door will need a new mechanism but still..

There are sensors in the door lock that tell if the door is open or closed if one of these has had it then it will think the door is open hence the central locking not working. Do you have the light on the dash telling you a door is open, does it ever come on? It is true about not all the fuses being used as it depends on the spec of the car, some cars will have things that's others don't. Check the owners manual to tell you what fuse does what. If you haven't got one let me know and I will email you one
