2002 mondeo juddering when accelerating
Hi guys I'm new here so please be gentle if this has been asked loads of times,
Basically I have a 2002 2.0 lx mondeo and it's started juddering under acceleration,it started off as a slight judder but now it's getting worse, would I be right in thinking it's the coilpack? I did replace it about 18months ago along with leads etc so could it be on it's way already? It wasn't genuine ford tho.
Any response will be appreciated and I can get it sorted asap cheers

Try leads & coilpack first
Spark Plugs can help too...
I've known petrol Zetec engines to have a faulty EGR which has caused hesitation/misfiring.
If you try all these and STILL have juddery running or misfire and your getting no related fault codes - replace ECU. 100% fixes it. Petrol Ford ECU's (EEC-V) can fail and make them misfire.

I've changed the coilpack and was fine at 1st then 10miles down the road it started again, you think change the leads and plugs,it idles ok and when u rev it has a little stutter but when driving just feels like it's stuttering when I accelerate, dosent feel like it's firing on all cylinders
which leads and which coil pack? you really do need to use genuine ford stuff from a ford dealer
i've just done plugs and leads on mine and it came to a whopping £131 for 8 items
i do get 6 mpg better fuel economy though so it'll pay for itself
