What is that all about, did Ford actually make a Mondeo XR-5?

Or is this a re-badged, engine upgrade?!

Freind of mine has a titanium x sport that has a R design badge on it, it's got loads of toys in it, he said its some sort of limited edition, even has cooled seats instead of heated seats lol

Can't find any info on them though :-/

Yeah, I found that XR-5 a good while ago, and did searches for other super-duper MK4's, but can find literally NOTHING.

So its just the Australian version of the ST, the (UK) Mondeo mk4 titanium x 2.5T is basically the same car as the Australian Mondeo XR5 -

they were released back in 2007 (see the date on the link)

I'd imagine the same mods for the focus could be used on them too.

I've been pondering the Kuga with the same 2.5t engine for a while.. remap / lower / mod for a 4wd 300+bhp sleeper..

Yeah, basically the same as our ST's, and our Titanium X 2.5T, EXCEPT, most of ours with that engine, for some strange reason, do not have the "S" (sport) level bodykit, as the Titanium X Sport, and Zetec S MK4's do in this country.

Kuga idea sounds great, Dal!

That would be a cool project - the Kuga is a bit heavy at 170kgs more than the Focus though, which would blunt the performance

Thought all titanium x and x sport had hot and cold seats as standard. Think someone has stuck a Volvo badge on tbh.

Just checked out Ford website (HERE) the climate seats are an option (@£475) on the Titanium X (Business model), and standard on the X Sport.

I love these top-end, MK4 cars. Mondeo MK4's are great, cheap as chips too. Mine is only a MK4 Zetec 140, good machine also though, amazing economy in EVERY way the diesels.
