Default TDCI performance help.

hey guys,

i have a 2004 2.0l tdci

i am looking for a re map later on in the year, but what can i do for now?

ive heard of using 4mm pipe to short something across of something but i dont know how or what.

The other thing was air filter, can u use a universal? diesel specific? or a pannel replacement?

anything else i can do?

Dave

hi pal , theres a few things u can do decat pipe for starters, egr bypass valve ,both help alot as for air filters id probably go for k&n panel filter or 57i kit if u want the whoosh from the turbo but it can suffer from heat soak these will all tie in with ur remap

Just wait until you get the remap mate. You won't notice any difference with an air filter, and no idea that the "4mm pipe" thing you're on about is??

A decat is a good idea (and yes it WILL still pass the MoT) as is blanking the EGR, but only if yours is a Euro3. As yours is a 2004 it could be a Euro3 or 4. If it has electrical connectors on top of the EGR valve then it's a 4 and you can't blank it off without the EML coming on all the time.
