Default MK3 mondeo...which engine does it have???

Hey, looking at buying this 03 plate mondeo diesel.

It seems to have everything i have been looking for but there is a little confusion on which engine it is.

2.0 TDCI 130 or 2.0 TDDI ??? Here is what i have so far:

FORD ETIS site wont recognise the Registration. The dealer gave me a Vin number when i asked and this is the details from the etis site:

Primary Features
Build Date: 03.07.2002
Vehicle Line: Mondeo 2001-2007
Body Style: 4 Door Estate
Version: Series 50
Engine: 2.0L Duratorq DI CR (130PS)
Transmission: 5-Speed Manual Trans - MTX75
Drive: RHD FWD
Axle Ratio: 3.56
Emission: 2000 EEC (EEC 7)
Air Conditioning: Automatic Air Conditioning
Territory: (+)"GB"
Paint: Panther Black (Metallic)
Interior Fabric: Leather

Shows as a TDCI 130 correct?

The car has the TDCI badge on the boot lid.
It also has TDCI on the engine cover.

My concern is that every vehicle check website i look the car up under so far lists it as a TDDI.
The insurance quote i tried also list it as a TDDI from the registration.

Can you let me know what you think guys.....which is it TDCI 130 or TDDI ???

Cheers for your help. Looking to pay my deposit today if it checks out to be the tdci 130 i want.

Jase

They did 2 versions of TDCI, a 115 and a 130. The TDDI's were also 115bhp, and if I remember right, they were also 2 litres.

Yes i realise these. the TDCI 115 was to replace the TDDI in 2002. The TDCI 130 came out i think in 2002 also. Both are 2 litre. There is also a 90ps 2.0 TDCI tht came out a couple years after and in 2005 the 2.2l 155ps TDCI came out which the st versions and transits got.

But this doesnt help my issue.
I know the car has either the 2.0 TDDI 113ps or the 2.0 TDCI 115/130 but am trying to figure out which from all the facts i have.
If anyone knows of somewhere else to check out ford factory specs from a registration that would be great also.

Just look at the engine cover. If it says Duratorq DI then its a TDDI, if it says Duratorque TDCI then it's a TDCI. The fact your data check says 130ps confirms it too.

yes that is true, maybe im just being a little suspicisious but the ford etis check was done on the vin number the dealer gave me and that says TDCI.

All the vehicle check sites and the insurance quotes were done from the registration and all those said TDDI.

However there is duratorq TDCI on the engine cover and the red and black lettered TDCI badge on the boot lid so im assuming its gonna be the TDCI 130 the etis vin threw back.

It's not uncommon for ETIS to list a car wrongly. Many ST200s are down as 'Si's and TDCIs do often come up as TDDIs, especially when the TDCIs were first out.

Thats defiantely a TDCi 130, as it says CR (Common Rail). As said above there is a TDCi 115, i thought the TDDi was discontinued in 2002??
