Hi guys please be gentle
newby
currently have a Westfield powered by a standard 130ps 2L zetec
add twin 45 webbers and alpha ecu this now pushes out 168 bhp![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
But its not enough it never is,
has anyone dropped a ST170 head on the zetec if so what benefits pitfalls would i come across
is it an easy mod
will the zetec cams and stuff fit on the st head
what sort of power am i looking at if my ecu can run the vvt
Cheers

I would not worry about the VVT, if the alpha can't run it(and I don't know either way) it has only two states it is either ON or OFF, so a simple switch could be utilised, would be much cheaper than getting different ecu to run it that does VVT etc.
I would suggest a micro switch on the throttle linkages somewhere.
As to whether they fit or not I don't know but will ask some people today who will know, they have used zetecs in the past but now only use duratecs, but getting seriously good power and torque from these.
