Zetec conversion loom/wiring
I'm planning on putting a 2.0 silver top Zetec into a 1990 efi mk4 XR3i.
I know of all the mechanical mods needed, and although I've trawled for ages on managment and looms, I still need some ideas:
I have the ecu and loom and engine from original efi xr3i.
I have all running gear and loom/ecu from K plate 1.8 105ps (non-pats)
I also have full car- 96 1.8 Si.
I want to use Ford parts so what ecu/loom combo do I use?
1: XR3i Efi set-up? (with inlet manifold adaptor plate)
2: either 1.8 set-up from above Escort? (Will this run 2.0 ok?)
3: Mondeo set-up if I get whole car?
I understand the loom needs modded to use 2.0 ecu, but is this only on 1.8 loom?
Does anyone have exact wires or connectors that need modded to fit 3i?
Thanks to all who reply.
