what can i do to it apart from an engine conversion....

Use the injection parts off a 1.6 MFI 105 hp, or twin carbs and the full program on the engine. Work on the cylinder head, bigger inlet valves, other manifold, other exhaust, camshaft, compression, ligthened flywheel/crank and so on...
