Default lambda sensor

Hi all i have recently had the lambda sensor replaced on my 1.3 2003 duratec, the light has since come back on and saying the same part is at fault. Has any one had or heard of this problem could it be wiring or a connector. The car seems it little hesitant when going through the gears.
thanks in advance.

After-market part? Then the resistance of the heater can be wrong.
Or it can be wiring and in some cases even the ecu can be defective.
Or you replaced the wrong Oxygen (lambda) sensor.

What's the number of the fault code?

Thanks oldford

Garage replaced it after it took an age for them to get, i dont think its a ford part.
I took it to a mates garage this time, he did say what code it was i cant recall but did show me that it was bank 1 O2 sensor on top of the manifold.

There are two sensors, one at top of manifold one in pipe below.

I replaced my top one with an NGK sensor from a local motor factors for ~50 and it was perfect

A mate put a universal one on his street ka and didn't work, put an NGK on and it's been fine
