Ford ka brake upgrade - pedal problem
Hi guys i dont use this much im over on fk-oc
Ive upgraded my front brakes to mondeo 2.0 calipers dics and pads and uprated my master cylinder to a puma 1.7 one to help with a soft pedal. ive also replaced the complete rear of the system too.
My pedal still has travel in and goes quite far down but will stop my car
Just after some advice here because people ive spoken to say the pedal shouldnt be as soft and with as much travel as mine has....
Look forward to your replies

I have the mondeo st24 calipers on mine with the standard mondeo 280mm discs and focus rear disc conversion, im still using the standard ka master cylinder and I have never really had an issue.
Do you still have the rear compensators on the lines before the rubber/braided hose?

Hi there thanks for the reply mate
I had a dodgy mc to start with so upgraded while i was there. ive only got standard drums on the back.
The fronts i now decided to go to sportka brakes off a street ka and its a lot better just not as sharp as the mondeo ones were. i really didnt feel safe with them before
I might try them again one day... How did you space the disc by the way?

Hi guys, I have just had a ST170 conversion on my Sport KA and I have noticed the heavier front end now but feels more sure footed now,
here's a few piccys.
Before
After
needed to but a thicker washer on the mounting bracket bolts to stop the bolts going all the way through and touching the disc's but appart from that and a very small amount of drilling and rust removing of the hub mounting holes and surrounding area it was straight forward.
