Default Looking to buy a st2/3

Hi guys

Will be buying a st 2/3 and just have a couple of questions!

Looking at a 07 plate with 28-40k on could you guys tell me the common faults with these cars have?

What is the best turbo back exhaust to run? Is dream science good to have and was the best way to get pops and bangs like you see so many of these doing what is a good power figure to expect out of these to?

Sorry if this has been asked

Cheers

Lewis

Fault wise have a look on here http://www.focusstoc.com/forums/topi...e-second-hand/

Mine made a few extra pops and bangs off a remap with Dreamscience but decating it made it happen loads more! If you go that route buy a lambda spacer so the warning light doesn't come on.
Exhaust wise personal preference I guess. I had a scorpion and it was very nice sounding. Not droning or very loud till you booted it.

Yeah they will bolt up to the cat no problems.

Never had an issue with my Dreamscience other than the clutch started to slip. Some do some don't so I upgraded to an RS clutch.
Only issue I had with the Dreamscience was i couldn't put it back to standard map so lost a couple of hundred quid as I couldn't sell it on then. Probably something simple but didn't have time to sort it before selling the car.

Other than that never had problems with the DS maps on my car.

Se are running a Dreamscience on CLares ST3 and it sounds just like that one even with a standard exhaust.

We have a Mongoose full system sat in the garage waiting to go on once it is out of warranty!

Insurance is 1400 quid which is actually cheaper than the rs turbo so selling the rs to pay for that..

Its okay i dont do that many miles literally 10 miles to work and back a day and pottering around so not to worried as i have spare money

The DS set ups come with 5 maps on them mate so load them one by one, if the clutch slips them leave it on a lower map till you change it.

They react very well to mapping and a few more mpg.

Start modding another bonus is you can just buy and download a map to suit that stage of tune

Colour is a choice for you only really. I wanted orange or black and waited till the spec I wanted was available to buy. It happened to be orange so bought it.
