Unhappy imrc/vvt

hello guys,
I am giving up on my vvt system on my focus st170
I am looking at Vernier pulleys for my standard cams,
I had a reply telling me I cant have the imrc box ''mapped out'' ok so will it have to kept plugged in to avoid the check engine light and what will happen with the inlet manifold runners ?

thanks

thanks for the reply caddyshck
the problem is I live in corfu, Greece.... !!
the vvt isn't a problem after all, what is though is the blessed imrc unit I am an engineer by trade and have fitted a second unit already the first 1 I will open up tomorrow and inspect/clean/solder etc....
but its a pain in the proverbial
is there or does anyone know any way at all to remove this system and just use the intlet manifold without the over complicated manifold runner system !!!!??
