I have a 2003 focus st170 and the eml came on so checked the dsi clip was broke so went to ford and got new 1 only to find out after u can get a metal one.Any way fitted the new dsi clip and turned the light of with a diagnostic machine I got on ebay £13.Any way çlip opens on start up and when is reved up to 5 1/2 thousand it closes do thats it working well so I thought.When I turn the reds on u can hear the clicks and noise coming from behind dash which I believe is the module working.Problem is the eml light comes on and wgen I turn it of 30/40 miles later its back on.If I disconnected the negative on the battery and reset ecu would this sort out the problem.
