ST170 juddering / loss of power
Basically when driving it judders from 2000 revs up to 4000 rev mark. Feels like something is holding it back. EML is on.
Seems to rev fine when standstill.
Reading the web, it seems most common problem is fuel pump control module and fuel pump it self.
Does the module need coding? Can local mechanic do it or only ford? What sort of cost am I looking at?
What's the best place to source ST170 pump?

Get a diagnostic scan done and if you get p1518 that will confirm the above fault.

I'm Finding My Feet Here Now
I have a 2003 focus st170 and had the same problem with mine.It would stutter at low revs it turned out to b a sticky throttle flap. But as said above get a scanner and pug it in and c whst it says.Have a look at ur dsi clip and make sure the plastic nipile hasnt broke.Just follow the cable from imrc box down to throttle body or get some 1 to start car and u watch the clip if when the car is started the clip moves forward and when rev above 5000 revs it moves back then ur imrc is fine.
