Nice looking and low mileage.
Just wait till the dash instruments start playing up and the IMRC systems starts flagging up faults.
Sump was rusty as hell on mine, lambdas faulty, maf buggered, wires corroded near battery, coil pack half died. All sorted eventually though.
Im happy to offer advice when / if it does.
The car is fun to drive though, so ive pretty much forgotten all the bad things.

No i wouldnt. they have a rake for good reason. a slightly higher rear helps reduce understeer. its a design feature not a flaw. not that you cant level out the heights as some do but im more concerned with handling than looks.
Ok cheer's underdog
went down to larkspeed in leeds and picked up a k&n flat panel filter ,also removed the resonator(spell)bit worried about heat soak now so im off to dnr performance(st and rs specialist) on mon or tuesday to see if dave will help me knock up a cold air feed from where the resonator was.
Going to route it down to the front end somewhere, if not a cut up pair of the wifes tights will be used to cover the hole up lol

You don't need to cover the hole as it's before the filter. Heat soak has nothing to do with filtering so tights will do nothing. Get the focus auto air defector panel, means you get the air from the grill rather than just the little gap between the grill and the bonnet, voila, cold air feed(ish)
It's regarded as being a good induction set up already. As above just fit the auto model deflector. Available from the main stealer for less than £20 iirc. Heatsoak is insignificant where the resonator hole is.
