Default Random Sensor found

Was just cleaning my engine bay before I derust and paint it and I found this sensor just hanging in front of the front fan, I have no leaks, no lights on the dash, but should I be worried, where does it go ?

I had a look around for holes in the area of the distance of the wires attached and cant see anywhere for it to go,

Engine bay temp sensor I believe, don't think it screws into anything even though it's threaded, I've been told it clips to the battery tray.

Find 2 holes on the battery tray and clip it back in.
