Default Ford Focus ST170 error code P1633

Had the engine management light come up on my car and when i checked the code it is P1633.

The light only comes on after it's started and running for about 5 mins.

After you park up and start up again light is off then comes back on again.

I have tried to clear it with my Bluefin but it says that the code cannot be cleared.

Has anyone seen this code before or fixed it?

Thanks

I would check the battery first, as the code reffers to the voltage being too low.

Iv'e checked the battery and it's around 12.4 V indicator on the batter is black.

Key shows Green as good, black as OK and Red and Bad

I checked the voltage when starting and it drops to 10V then goes up to 13.6V when running.

Does that sound OK?

Check/remove/clean the 3 ground connections near the battery/airbox, they can corrode and give all sorts of odd faults on mk1 Focus.

Fuse number 20 in the engine bay had blown Replaced and no more engine light on the dash.

Couple of days later and the fuse has blown again!!

Will start another thread but does anyone have a clue why this might keep blowing?

Thanks Rob
