anyone have any idea why my remote locking on my 1.8 lx focus is tempremental.
have changed remote batteries and re programmed key fob worked fine for a while but is now tempremental AGAIN seems to be worse in wet weather yet keys are kept well dry

 

i've had it a couple of times when my doors wouldn't unlock whatever i did with the remote.....once was in the petrol station tool

put me right off de-locking i can tell you!!!!

might be something to do with nearby tv/phone mast etc.....they can scramble the signal if it's stronger that remote signal.......

 

its a common problem with the remote locking on the modern fords. the actual problem is that seimens made them and like dave says most mobile phone masts are made by seimens! bloody annoying but heyho. ive had many a problem with mine too,although the boot release works fine its just the doors that are mental!!!
