Hi lads, been on the forum for a while now, mainly cause of my saph and a few series 2's before that.

Just wondered how many miles you get out of a tank, economy driving really...

Only asking cause i recently brought a mk5 golf gti dsg, and didnt realise you ave to run them on 98 octane at least and cause i do 60 miles a day, it's starting to cripple me.

any input would be great thank you,

pete

you also have to run the Rs on 98 octane, mine has the usual mods and i get about 280 miles to a tank but my driving is mixed, i used to use it every day to commute to work though and it costs about £65 to fill it up which would last about a week and a bit.

Mine's about 300bhp and running about locally with the odd longer blast will see 250 to a a tank easy enough and it gets driven properly lol.....lots of motorway/cruising speeds have seen 300 out of a tank. Usually costs about £70 to fill up too (98).

same here

although with mine it doesn't matter how you drive it, it returns 235 ish miles around town (london traffic) and 300 or so on a motorway run taking it steady
