Big Brakes Upgrade Help
Hi there
i'm new at the forum...I'm from portugal, and found this forum using goolgle and was looking at some threads and find them very helpfull...
So, what brings me here?! I'm a owner of a focus 1.8TDCI 115hp (diesel engine.........well, i'm from portugal, right?!?!?! ) the diesel car are much more comun then petrol ones, because the diesel is much cheaper... ok, it doesn't matter...
My focus originaly has 115hp and now it has about 240hp/250hp! Changed a few things, turbo, injector, intercooler, whatever, and now i wanted to ugprade the brakes! So, i intended to use the RS brembos!! Will use ST170discs for now, 300mm right? Because of the wheels...
I know that the brembos won't fit directly, i need and adapter...anyone has any adapter to fit RS Brembos on a regular Focus??or know where i can buy a set? I don't know if my hub are the same has the ST170?? I was searching and didn't found any information about this...
If i can't find any, i need to make an adapters...
oh,another thing! What ET the wheels must have at least to fit with the brembos? (using the wheels without any spacers) If the wheels i have don't fit after brembos installed, i guess the spacers are an option...
cheers

You will need st170 front hubs and then an adaptor plate fabricated to be able to fit the brembo's and a little modification to the caliper
here's a good how to

hi mate i just fitted a set of brembos to my ST170 and is a fucking night mare
to do (but well worth it) also if/when you do fit them to your focus you will also
need to fit a set of 18" alloys as the new brakes wont fit behind a 17" wheel
if your after a brake set up i am selling a full set of focus ST170 calipers with
carries set of black diamond 300mm cross drilled/groved vented discs black
diamond pads all in mint condition for £200.00 cheers mark 07817005505
(ps my brackets and caliper work alone cost me £250.00 and thats not
counting what i paid for my rs brakes and discs pads ect)
