4 small but annoying problems
Hi All,
just bought my first Focus which has come with a couple of glitches, hence now registered on the site. All advice welcome.
1) Dashboard 'door open' light. There appears to be a problem with it still showing a door open, when all are shut. This is linked to the boot. Does something in / near boot latch need cleaning? Sometimes it goes off, uually when I manually open the boot, as opposed to using remote.
2) After driving the car and get out, if I touch the car door straight away I get a small electric shock. Is something wired up incorrectly or are the foot rest mats from Halfords to blame?
3) CD6000 - terrible interference on MW - would a suppressor help? The guy at car parts shop said it is very dangerous to attach to a Focus alternator.
4) Internal scratch on windscreen. Looks like a lady wearing a diamond ring has gone to de-mist the windscreen and left a nice arc scratch on the inside. There are some kits you can buy off ebay that you attach to a drill - anyone used this to polish out scratch? Would anything else work? I looked into getting new windscreen thru insurance but it would cost me £70 AND my bno claims would be frozen.
Thanks in advance!

boot contact switch which is part of boot lock but can be removed clean contacts on it shud do the trick mate . . dont fit supressor it plays havoc wit the charging system on fords the use a different charging system linked to the ecu as for static shock check and see if your tyres one or all ar cheap remoulds if not just fit static strip to rear axel as apposed to rear bumper lokks better ha .there only about 3 quid .as for windscreen its a new one im afraid the silly scratch removing kits dont work trust me
