Depends on the engine, if the popular 1600 model than it's the Zetec SE, renamed Duratec now, avaliale in two guises 100HP (Same as always) or TI-VCT which gives 115HP.

Correct although in fact it is actually the other way round, I.E the Fiesta borrowed the Focus engine as this was an all new engine exclusive to the Focus when it was launched.

Yes you can interchange the engines of the same type, I.E don't get the TI-VCT if you don't have already, sure it could be fettled to work but won't be a straight swap!

Bigger engine is very hard to do, I.E 1.8, 2.0 (Zetec-E, now Duractec) are completly different from the Jap derived Sigma you currently have!

Not alot really unless you put a bit of money in, around 140HP is achievable with SS4 cams, remap, exhaust etc.

Maybe, tbh I think that would be very little if anything noticable at all, one major bottleneck is the cat, hence de-catting, so even with the 4-2-1 higher flowing efficiency, it's still going to be restricted by the cat.

Panel filter can't do no harm though.
