can anybody tell me if the 1600 Zetec S & SE (Silver & black top) Focus engines are interchangable? I will be looking to swap the inlet & exhaust manifolds etc over from my old silver top unit onto the black top. Thanks

 

Yes. I put the balcktop in a silvertop that I had and it was fine. Kept the original airbox/MAF but that was it, rest went straight in!

 

What he ^^ said, the Zetec S was merely a Fiesta with the Focus engine fitted. There was some minor changes between the engines internally but other than that there the same.

thanks for the info. the black top seems to be a bit easier to get hold of & i dont want to have to mess about modifying connections etc to get it to fit
