Yet another prob with my st170....there is a knocking coming from under the car, i think the drivers side and sounds like metal hitting metal..ive been under the car and everything seems to be attached to what it should be..even the cat heat sheild is ok...the rougher the road the more violent the knocking gets...has anyone any ideas as to what it could be before i take it to a garage, just trying to get a heads up before i get ripped of..

get it on a garage ramp and have a good look mate, you could have missed it else

 

remove the drop link on that side that connects the strut to the ARB, if the knocking goes away then thats your answer. Very common

 

yes mate i had probably the worst ever st170 and had that problem defo the drop links and im no ed china lol
