Default Focus ST - intercooler

Hi all,

As you will be able to tell, I have no idea when it comes to tuning cars & all things mechanical.

So, If I was to add an aftermarket intercooler to my car (2007 Focus ST) with no other engine mods at all, would it be worth it? If it was, what gains would there be?

This product

My reason is that where I work, we look after all the council's vehicles (vans, tippers, bin lorrys, gritters etc) and offer MOTs etc to the public. If it was worth it, I could get it fitted at work probally for a lesser rate than at some local garage.

Thanks

Andy

Not really worth it to be honest if its all standard. For that money you could get yourself a remap, I've got the dreamscience one on mine and it totally changed the car.

I'd only consider a bigger intercooler if you're running a few modifications and will be hammering it on the hottest of days, the standard set up will be more than up to the job!

Thanks

Did think that it wouldnt be worth it, but its nice just to confirm it.

I am considering Code:Red or Dreamscience in the future aswell.

Ive read that about the wiper arms Definately wouldnt do them myself.

When I had my Mk1 Focus, It took RapidFit 5.5hours to fit the 4 Eibach springs

Rears are a NIGHTMARE on mk1 focus's, took me most of a day to do mine.

When i did my ST, it wasn't a difficult job, just very time consuming with all the taking apart and putting back together!

I will let people who know what their doing do it rather than me.

On my Mk1, the fronts were rusty aswell as the rears.
