I have a Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec (2000) Although the car is registered 2000 the VIN plate shows manufactured Dec 1999.
Looking on Haynes manuals states engine code should be EYDA but all recon heads I can find are EYDB
What is the differnece between EYDA and EYDB ?
Will EYDB fit mine

I think it's something to do with the valve lifters. Early engines like mondeos had solid lifters I think, and the later 2000- engines had hydraulic. Not sure so don't quote me.
