I purchased a Focus 1.8 TDCi 2005 from salvage, it didn't come with keys and the battery was also flat.

I have had a key cut but not programmed and have removed the battery and charged it indoor (removing the battery was a task!!!)

Now the battery is charged I have put it back in but as soon as I connect it the alarm sounds (I think its the alarm, horn type sound)

Any guidance or advise would be appreciated

 

It will need to go to ford to have the ECU recoded to a new set of keys, no way of programming a key yourself without having an original programmed key i'm afraid!

you can get some to come to your house to reprograme a key for your car so it works he might want proof its yours.listen to where the alarm noise is coming from and unplug it

 

Not too sure. I'd just disconnect the battery for now and wait til you have a key sorted! I tried to get a new key cut and programmed for an old focus that I had a few years ago, no where I tried could make me a new key as I didn't have the master key, I was told that the only way to get a master key was via Ford with a re-program of the ecu.
