Hi guys,

I have an issue withh the trip computer in my 04 Focus.

The computer itself works fine - it reads out remaining fuel, temp, etc, but the switch on the indicator stalk doesnt seem to switch between options. Its a bit frustrating at this stage - when the temp drops below 4d, I cant se what mileage is left in the tank.

Now it sounds to me like a new switch is required. Has anyone any idea how easy/hard these are to replace? I'd like to do it myself, but if it gets too complicated I'll get my mechanic to look at it.

Similar thing happened to the other side with the windscreen wash button on my old focus. Have you tried pressing it bloody hard? That worked for me!

 

Yeah, I've tried that to the point of almost breaking it! Although it did work with my window regulator...
