Default Main Beam ?

Hey guys, i have an 09 focus zetec and come across a problem i can find no solution to. Even the owners manual is vague and of no help. My problem is i can not for the life of me get the main beams to stay on! I can flash the main beams but that is about it. Now i live in the country so the main beams are vital and so far had to hold the beams on using the flash function. My question is how exactly do i get them to stay on?? From what it says in manual you pull the lever beyond the flash all way to steering wheel but this does nothing! neither does pushing it the other way! Help guys as i drive country lanes often at night and so far had to hold the beams on by using flash function..... On all previous fords i owned you pushed lever in oposite direction of flash to keep beams on but this seems not the case here.

Since it is a 09 plate i would take it back to ford. It is still under warranty so let them sort it.

Sounds like the switch is knackered. Take it back to ford and the warranty should cover it!

Too right they charge enough let them fix it, but does sound like switch that's all.
