What mileage does a cambelt need changing at?

Wheres the best place for spares as i need a pair rear boot lifters/gas struts and a drivers side window regulator?

The car is a 03 reg 1.6lx

Anything i need to check/look at be worried about?

I believe Ford say 100k miles or every 10 years for the basic focus models

 

i would have it done at 70k ish i had mine done then. on alot of focus's the tensioner snapps not the belt its self! so go for the whole kit! alot of them have snapped WELL before 100k or 10 years!

as for spares are you after new or second hand? if new sign up as a paid memeber of the ffoc and tezza should be able to get you discount if second hand ebay or scrappy!

Belt and tensioner should be changed at 60,000.The tensioners are a problem on the 1.4,1.6 zetecs.FORD have revised them 3 times.The latest one is perfect.My tensioner let go while i was doing 80 m.p.h on the motorway,scrapped the engine and fitted a new one.
