question about focus engine
How difficult is it to put a 2.0 duratec engine into a 2000 focus 1.6 zetec? I understand the inlet and exhaust are on opposite sides on the two engines. Will it fit? Do i need just loom or g/box and shafts etc as well?
Also a question about brakes. As i understand it the Focus RS brakes are the same Brembo calipers as on the Alfa 147/156 GTA + GTV (305mm Discs)?
Is it possible to use the RS brakes/Alfa brakes on the above 2000 focus 1.6 zetec?
Thanks for any replies

You can't fit any other callipers on normal Focus front knuckles, the calliper slider bracket is cast onto the knuckle.
You need ST 170 knuckles they will take bolt on callipers either use standard ST or with adapters R.S callipers.
If you try to use RS knuckles you need RS front shocks and springs as well, and the wheels will push out further under the wing.

The Duratec HE has a different bellhousing bolt pattern to all previous 4 cylinder Ford engines so you'll need a gearbox to suit as well. One from a ST150 should fit your current DS.
