Just brought a t reg focus 1.4 zetec for the wife 78 k full fsh ect ect , a week in the cambelt t decided to fall to bits i removed the head and it did not do any damage at all no contact ect ect , had the head checked the head for flatness all good put it back together.

When you drive it round town the temp gauge is spot on go upto 70-80 mph on the motorway it goes right in the red ease of to 50-60 fine but is does not smell of feel like its getting that hot.

Put a new thermostat in check it before fitting it all good , new water pump , new temp switch in the middle of the head even borrowed a snap on bit of kit that sucks all the air out off the cooling system and put the coolant back in without air , just took it out again for a run 20 miles and its still doing it , is there 2 switches for the water temp ? owe yes the fans come on when you stop ??????
