Default New Focus Rs

OK i'm just a little confused. The new focus rs is supposed to be a tuned 2.5L. whats confusing me is why don't they just use the new SI6 engine that is in the new volvo V70. It develops 285bhp and is a six cyclinder engine.

Apparently there is also a high pressure turbo T6 engine that has 350bhp.

I would like to think that they would make this RS a 3.0L Six Cyclinder turbo with AWD. Maybe we're in for a suprise. I'm don't believe that ford will make a 280bhp RS when the Focus ST will now gets 260bhp as standard.

we have to remember that all this talk about it not being 4wd and still a 2.5L is word from all the presses mouths. Ford hasnt confirmed anything about the spec which make it more exciting.

touch wood that they will go with the original spec which is the six cyclinder engine and AWD. My student loan is being saved for this bastard, so it'd better be good.

We can only hope! but your right in what your saying, it makes sence to use one of the other engines with AWD when already you can buy an ST with 260 bhp.
The RS will be competing against it's own brother...Come on Ford!!!

Well if you're saving for the car dont forget that by 2009/10 you'll need to be saving even more for the new road tax bands, green taxes, etc, which will probably price this car out of most peoples reach unless you're going to hike yourself up on finance

money is no issue for me interms of keeping my car on the road. All i want is a car thats enough to keep me entertained. My life time dream is to blow up a ferrari, porsche and lamborghini. I want to be banned from buying a car from these flashy assholes hahaha (what a dream huh?) or just once in life to buy a new ferrari and drive straight through the dealers shop front and hand the keys back hehehehehehe
