Default Jap import focus..???

My mate just bought a jap import 2004 focus 2.0, It has a higher spec than the euro models, only 38,000kms and is so clean you'd swear it was only a year old. The only trouble with it is it has a very high spec and expensive looking Sony double din radio/cd multichanger that is tuned for the Japanesse FM freq. Is it possible to have these recalibrated/reprogrammed..?

You would need a band expander, which just plugs into the aerial socket in the back of the head unit (i think)?, try an audio shop for one
