4WD is a must, they need to find the cash if they don't have it or I'll be awfully upset. I've never driven a 4WD before "saying that, are 4WD cars more fun to drive than FWD cars? I've heard people say that Evo's are to sure footed for their own good, 'meaning' the fun factor can be taken away. I'm sure the guy's with 4x4 cossie's on here could tell us if this is the right? (I can't remember the last time a 4x4 past me side ways.)

Or, is it that a FWD car is more fun to drive, such as 'lift off oversteer, breaking traction at 70 mph in third gear, and i'm guessing better entry speed".

What I think I'm trying to say is, Im sure that FORD know how to make a fast usable car "they've done it for years", so if they choose to make it front wheel drive I'm sure it will be for the righ reason (s) and not for the fact they can't afford it.

Surely if the Volvo C30 floor pan that the Focus is based on can take the 4WD running gear. Then modifying the 6 speed 4WD Hadlex system that was fitted to the Volvo S60 and V70R's can't be that much hardship? Both these models are 300bhp from the factory so the system has been designed to cope with the power they claim the Focus RS will be when its launched. Either way I am sure it will sell so this point can be argued until the cows come home.
