Focus RS Seat Base Upgrade?
The seat bases on my 53 FRS are the original items and those that are known to sag/crease. Whilst they are now good (its only covered 9,000 miles), I was wondering how to go about getting the later items with the extra line of reinforced stitching fitted. Ford tell me that because the vehicle is over three years old any work to upgrade these would be chargeable and that I should first speak to my local dealer.
Anyone else out there dealt with this ?
Cheers

Theres no chance of fords doing this for you now mate. Trim was only a 12 month warranty job anyways and even them fords where very reluctant to change the bases.
You can get the bits from frauds but you need two seat base covers and two seat base cushions.
You'll have a heart attack when they tell you the price.
TBH many have not sagged at all and as yours clearly isn't used much i wouldn't worry about it. Mines done over 50k and there very minor creasing but that what happens to leather seats when they are used.
