jus bought a focus RS, and its totally std.
whats best way of starting to tune them without needing to start changing the internals and what are they capable of?
heard the best way is a de-cat and uni-chip with a RR session could see 270-280, is this right??
also is there a big change if i change the intercooler? and if so which is best to change it with ect
thanks in advance

nope
best mods for money would be
decat, bluefin or DS, and a manifold. that should see you 260-270 ish.
k&n2 sounds good but aint needed, if you do much hard driving like on track would be wise to upgrade the intercooler rad. If you do this i would then suggest a bleed valve or boost controller
to see 280bhp.

Hye their mate i would say best place for manifold & exhaust is Primary Design & would also recommand Dream Science over the Bluefin. Also dont get a bleed valve, better off spending a little more and getting a boost controller.
i got manifold, decat, full WRC exhaust, bluefin (which im changing for DS) & Generation 2 Induction Kit.
Rolling Road Results 257.2 Bhp & 298.1 Ibft
Good Luck Mate

the exhaust is a replica of whats on the rally Focus, and many top dealers recommend it by far (but as you said comes at a price) and sounds the bollucks. only thing wrong with my car is no boost controller or bleed valve. I was told to expect anthing between 255 and 265 so my results aint bad. Dont forget still running standard boost without boost controller.
Cars in for nice major major service in a week or so, so will see if anything wrong. But doubt it as car was setup by Robb at SCC.
