Hi

Oversly look for all the usual things, like accident damage, cut and shut etc.

Most Focus's suffer from rust either under the wing mirrors or under the trim on the tailgate.

When you drive it listen out for the wheel bearings as they are quite common to fail...

Good Luck

Regards

more usual things like headlights misting up, rust around the aerial base, make sure the plastic scuttle panel trim is firmly sealed to the windscreen, if not water will seep through there, and into the passenger footwell soaking the carpet.

These 1.6s do have the tendancy to burn oil too, i sold my 1.6 focus just before it was needing its third engine!!!!
