Mk3 Focus RS 2.3 Ecoboost driveline
Hi Folks,
I bought this intending o use the rear subframe/axle/diff for my crazy RWD Mk1 ST170 project, but didn't do any research beforehand
So, after I got it I realised that the rear diff only worked when it was told to by the RDU control unit, and after LOADS of research, it appears that there's no easy way to get rounnd this, so, the whole lot is about to be sold on the bay of Es
I've checked out the going rate, and there are a couple of bits and pieces there, but no complete set up, but I reckon the parts I have are worth well over 4K split up. The driveline came from a breakers who said the car had done around 4k miles, and it's all in really good nick, so that seems reasonable.
If anyone on here is interested in the whole lot, then I will take 3500 which is what it all cost me, and that includes :
Rear subframe/diff/control unit/drive shafts/shocks/springs complete
Complete propshaft including mounts
Transfer box
Gearbox
Only one drive shaft (I have the other, but the hub end joint is foobarred)
I'll also include a pair of front Brembos (which arepretty mint too) from a Mk 3 RS complete with their vented disks.
I can bring it all to you in my Transit, but we'd need something to unload it at your end, and I'd want a few extra beer tokens to cover my diesel.
I'd rather not split it, but if I do then the individual bits will obviously b e significantly more. If I don't hear anything within a week or so, then it's all going back on the Bay.

Still hoping to sell this to an enthusiast before putting it all on the bay of evil
Actually had a thought that the gearbox and front diff/transaxle might make a good buy for someone wanting to turn their ST into 4wd. Box is pretty well the same apart from the driveshafts and the transaxle and would bolt straight on. Then you'd just need to source a rear axle to bolt on which doesn't have the fancy electrickery that the RS one has, maybe a Kuga rear?
