RS2000 4X4 - YB driveline conversion
So.. a quick question.
Can the engine in a RS2000 be turned 90 degrees and be mounted with a mt75 gearbox and the rest of the driveline from a cosworth.
The reason that im asking is that the weak transferbox in the RS2000 4X4 is really annoying me. Just knowing that a little abuse may result in faliure and the fact that it's so damn expensive to get a spare cause they are so rare is killing me.
So any way to do a conversion?
Any ideas.

i'm contemplating this also on my mk5b 4x4
the way i'm thinking of is taking a sierra 2.0 dohc shell and cutting the bulkhead tunnel innerwings and crossmember out and 'mating' it to my rs2k. i'll be using the sierra steering rack cos the escort one will obviously be in the way. the other problem would be the track as the sierra one is wider. i'll gonna leave it but been told that when converting to leave to original strut position and you then swap the hubs over so the track rod ends are you other side for the sierra sterring rack however this may not work in the real world. someone will probably disagree with this but it is just my thinking
hope this helps
