I'd like some advice, I'm not mechanically minded at all and have a mechanic that should be working on my car. The engine needs to be replaced, it's a 1.8 petrol engine on a 55 plate focus cmax. I'm interested to know if it would present any issues to put in a different engine type - ideally I'd like to put in something a bit faster than the 1.8 but would that have other implications for changes needed or things to consider?
